Atlantic Records recording artist Brett Eldredge really does lose his mind in the sexy video for his new single “Lose My Mind,” which arrives at country radio today.
The reigning CMA New Artist of the Year is his usual suave, debonair self in the video that debuts today at people.com, until he meets a woman he can’t get out of his head. Along the way, Eldredge is held hostage by the thought of her in a mind-bending video for a mind-bending song.
“I’ve had experiences like this,” Eldredge says of the song, written by Eldredge, Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan. “Sometimes the groove of a song might tell you what path you’re going down. All the sudden this wacky groove starts leading you to weird places. And I remembered this girl I was talking to for a while, and I couldn’t think about anything else in the whole world but this girl.”
“Lose My Mind” is already grabbing headlines as USA Today spotlights it as the Song of the Week. The song “combines a manically insistent groove with call-and-response slide-guitar hooks to set up the jangled-nerve joyfulness Eldredge feels about a lover that makes ‘all my screws come loose,’” the Tuesday edition says.
The song is available today at iTunes and all digital music outlets. Fans don’t have to wait until Eldredge’s new album hits stores this fall to hear new music. Eldredge is also performing new material as he joins Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour this summer, beginning May 14 in Holmdel, New Jersey.
